Yo Gotti - Tupac back
Hoops Manifesto decided to rank the top 10 shooting guards of all time, and you’ll never guess #1. It’s not #1 or even #2 I’m concerned with, it’s the rest of the list.
Here is their order:
10) Reggie Miller
9) Ray Allen
8) Pete Maravich
7) Dwyane Wade
6) Clyde Drexler
5) Allen Iverson
4) George Gervin
3) Jerry West
2) Kobe Bryant
1) You know who pictured aboveThis list places more of an emphasis on production—points, assists, career milestones for stats and all-star appearances—then it does on winning. Iverson and Gervin never won a title, neither did Maravich or Reggie. Clyde won his lone title with the Dream at his peak.
My re-ordering of the list:
10) Reggie Miller
9) Pete Maravich
8) Clyde Drexler
7) George Gervin
6) Allen Iverson
5) Ray Allen
4) Dwyane Wade
3) Jerry West
2) Kobe Bryant
1) Michael JordanWest is the freakin’ logo, and I almost put him ahead of Kobe, but he’s only got that one ring from 1972 before the Knicks won the next year, and he was basically done the year after that. Russell is the reason he only won the single championship, but I’ve got a post lined up in my head about Russell and Chamberlain and why this list made me think of them.
More on that shortly.

!?! Where’s John Havlicek?? The man was only All-NBA 1st or 2nd team eleven times & All Defensive team eight times. You want to factor in winning? If he were to wear all his rings at once, only his thumbs would be naked. He could give one each to Reggie, Maravich, & Gervin & still have enough to fill one hand. Some might say he was a swing man, but he was only 6’-5”. That’s shorter than more than a few guys listed. With career averages of 21pts., 6 boards, & 5 assists, he has to be somewhere in the middle of the best 2-guard list. Has. To. Be. And how about, Black Jesus?? No Earl “the Pearl” Monroe? You can keep Reggie Miller, & maybe even Ray Allen, & I’ll take Monroe & just get my PG & SF to shoot threes. Shit, how about I let Denzel break it down for any of you, including a man on the above lists, who might be unfamiliar.

Dwight Howard has no shame.
Honestly, this was cool the first time I saw it but I’m just about done with all this planking business.
